The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed wide receiver Dante Pettis after a tryout. Pettis, who was a former member of the team, was one of several players the 49ers evaluated. Among the players the 49ers considered was Jerry Rice's son Brenden Rice. The team also let go of a defensive lineman. The signing brings back Pettis with the 49ers after a previous unsuccessful try.
