Production on The Batman Part II has paused after director Matt Reeves took leave for a family matter. Variety Australia, The Hollywood Reporter, and Deadline all covered the stoppage on 5 October 2026.
The break adds to delay concerns already building around the sequel. Cast member Sebastian Stan, who recently spoke about how playing Donald Trump secured him a role in the film, had been working with Reeves before the pause. No timeline for a restart has been announced.
