Houthi missile strikes on airports near Riyadh have shut down all flights in and out of the Saudi capital as of 11 October 2026. At least 12 people were killed during the strikes, including an Egyptian woman confirmed as one of the victims. A Saudia Airbus was hit in a separate strike days before the airport closures.

UAE airlines have cancelled or rerouted flights serving Saudi Arabia, and five services between Riyadh and Dhaka were taken out of operation. The disruption reflects ongoing Houthi targeting of Gulf aviation infrastructure. Travellers have been caught without options with no confirmed schedule for when operations will resume.
