Spencer Matthews has set a marathon personal best of 2:49, with Runner's World reporting his training was built around maths, science, and consistency. The result marks a solid result for the British television personality who has become a serious endurance runner.

The time stands as a genuine benchmark in amateur marathon running, and his approach to training has drawn attention for its methodical nature. Rather than relying on guesswork or intuition, Matthews used a calculated and consistent training method.

Matthews is married to Vogue Williams, who has drawn coverage of her own this week after pushing back against public commentary. Those critics took issue with her choices as a new mother by going out with her one-month-old baby. Williams responded publicly to the comments.
